BelRed Arts District Community Alliance Hosted First Ever Meet & greet

For the first time ever, the BelRed Arts District Community Alliance held a community meet and greet for local businesses and organizations, arts advocates, artists, and supporters to build connections!

The event featured a presentation from Lorie Hoffman, arts manager at the City of Bellevue, interactive art from Sabin Timalsena and Kokanee Clay Studio, and an introduction from the BelRed Arts District Community Alliance — a newly formed nonprofit organization with a mission to cultivate a sustainable and vibrant creative district that celebrates a diverse community and meaningfully connects everyone through arts, culture, and innovation. We are a group of passionate volunteer organizers, and community amplifiers looking to reveal, increase visibility, establish cohesion and shared identity by bringing more synergy and inspiration to the BelRed Arts District.

This is only the beginning. Our community has been brewing and forming for more than a decade. Hidden within gritty, post-industrial warehouses, aging commercial spaces and older strip malls reminiscent of the 60s and 70s era are over 100+ creative organizations and businesses waiting to be discovered and explored. The eclectic mix of arts and cultural organizations continue to support the economy and bring thousands to the area. As a direct, connective pipeline to artists and cultural experiences regionally, they fuel our arts education, unify our community, and sparks creativity and innovation far and wide.

We not only invite you to learn more, we invite you to join us and be part of our mission and vision. We believe that the power of arts, culture and innovation builds a great community and positively elevate and improve quality of life and the world in which we live. We are excited to continue engaging the community, collaborating with partners, celebrating our diversity and advancing arts.
